ANNOUNCEMENT, Published: September 19th, 2018
As of October 4th, 2018 TimezoneAPI will no
longer support free plans.
On October 4th, 2018 we will no longer support free plans on TimezoneAPI.io.
TimezoneAPI has now been in existence for one year, and during this time we’ve been fortunate to experience exponential new user growth. Since we launched we’ve enjoyed providing a free version of our API meant for developers with very little traffic who still wanted to make use of our services. Unfortunately, many of our new users with high usage have exploited this free version instead of signing up for the appropriate monthly paid plans.
Despite being aware of this for the past few months, we were dedicated to maintaining a free plan that would make our service more widely available. We have recently reached such a high level of traffic, however, that we are now forced to remove the free plan option and require our users to sign up for monthly paid plans that are appropriate to the number of API requests they make per day. Our various pricing plans can be found here.
Upon purchasing a paid plan, you will immediately be provided with a valid service token. (This token will also be sent to you in a confirmation email). When you include the token in your request to our service, the request will be authorized and our service will return data. Our service will no longer work without a valid request token.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to become the best time zone API in the world.
